Susan Rochmis’ recent work is based on daily “automatic” drawing- letting imagery emerge- or not- weaving and layering line and color to express luminous space.
Together, the artworks of these two independent women weave a joyful tale. The struggles and rewards of being a female artist in upstate New York present themselves brilliantly through color and form in their magical drawings and weavings.
