MURAL, the Mount Utsayantha Regional Arts League, is honored to host: “Relief Constructions” an art exhibition featuring wood constructions by John Egner. This exhibition will be on view at the MURAL on Main Gallery, located at 631 Main Street, Hobart, NY 13788, from Saturday, October 12 through Sunday, November 17, 2019. In addition, MURAL will host an Opening Reception with the artist on Saturday, October 12, from 2-4 pm.
John Egner is an abstract artist painter who has been showing since his first one person show in 1968, up until his last in 2016 at the N"Nambi Center for Contemporary Art, 'Wood Constructions', Detroit, Michigan. His work has evolved from two dimensional surfaces to the recent wood constructions done over the last 10 years at his studio located in Andes, NY. John Egner has held multiple teaching and lecture positions, with the longest from 1966-1987 as professor of Graduate and Undergrad Painting at Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan.
The reception on October 12 will include refreshments and is free to the public. “Relief Constructions” will be on view through November 17, 2019. The MURAL on Main Gallery is open Saturdays and Sundays from 12-4 pm, during special events as listed on our website, or by appointment- (607)538-3002.
